ICL Renovation Projects

First Floor Accessible Restroom Project- thanks to a 2023 grant from the American Library Association, the Friends of the Library, and hundreds of generous Annual Appeal donors, we recently added an accessible restroom on our main level.

Community Center Project-in February 2024, the library was awarded a $750,000 grant from the Michigan Department of Labor and Economic Opportunity to assist us in creating space that supports our community in areas such as early childhood literacy, senior services, and workforce development.  We are currently accepting proposals for architectural plans to begin the first phase of our project.
