Community Center Space Project
Ironwood Carnegie Library Community Center Space Project*
In February 2024, the library was awarded a $750,000 grant from the Michigan Department of Labor and Economic Opportunity to assist us in creating a space that supports our community in areas such as early childhood literacy, senior services, and workforce development. Bids were solicited and Meyer Group was selected for the architectural design and Ruotsala Construction for construction of the 1,000-square-foot addition to the library. We hope to break ground on the new addition in March 2025.
* This project is being supported, in whole or in part, by federal award number SLFRF0127 awarded to The State of Michigan by the U.S. Department of the Treasury.
