Friends of the Ironwood Carnegie Library value, support, and champion the public library.

Become a Friend of the Library!

The Friends:

Raise funds to purchase equipment and materials not available through the regular library budget.
Encourage community awareness by representing the library within the community.
Help with library programs, open houses, special events, and public service projects.
Sponsor special programs.
Advocate for strong library support.

Look for the next Friends meeting and upcoming friends events on the calendar!

Student: $2

Individual: $10

Family: $20

Business: $50

Lifetime: $150

The Ironwood Carnegie Library is accepting donations of good quality used books for our October book sale.

Good quality hard cover or paperback books (fiction and non-fiction) audio books, DVDs, and CDs.
For adult fiction, the best-selling authors are usually our biggest sellers…we love those!
Children’s books, including good quality picture books and beginning readers.

Encyclopedias, textbooks, reference books, and older health and medical books cannot be donated.
Anything worn, musty, moldy, torn, outdated, or generally in poor condition cannot be donated.
Most magazines are not accepted. Cooking magazines (Taste of Home, etc.) that are in good condition are the exception. Call us if you are uncertain!

We ask that you limit your donation to 3 or 4 boxes.
You can bring donations during our business hours: 9am-5pm Monday and Friday; noon-6pm Tuesday and Thursday; 9am to noon on Saturday.
PLEASE don’t put donations in the book drop! We ask that you not leave them outside, but if you have to let us know in advance by leaving a message at 906-932-4789. We may be able to set up a convenient time to drop off books outside of business hours.
